Warner Bros. Strikes ‘Clayface’ & ‘Sensible Magic 2’ Dates

Oh, that’s why we haven’t seen or heard something from Clayface but: it’s popping out just a little later in 2026 than earlier than.

Warner Bros. revealed on Friday that it’s carried out some slight launch date shifting, so the DC film has vacated September 11 and moved to October 23. On its authentic date now’s Practical Magic 2, which was initially dated for the next weekend on September 18.

With its new date, Sensible Magic 2 begins the studio’s horror and style slate for the autumn season. In earlier years, the early September window was occupied by The Conjuring: Last Rites and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and each of these did very well throughout their respective theatrical runs.

In the meantime, Clayface’s late October slot will make it WB’s huge film for the month. The Batman villain’s solo movie is directed by James Watkins of the Converse No Evil remake and written by horror man (and future The Exorcist director) Mike Flanagan, and ideally, it’ll hit huge throughout Halloween, just like how Black Phone 2 did for Common final 12 months in a similar window. It’s purported to be a physique horror film a couple of man with shapeshifting powers, how might it not be scary?

So Sensible Magic 2 on September 11 and Clayface on October 23, with teasers for each hopefully quickly.
